We are all artists in our own way. Circles, lines and scribbles are also a form of art.


In art therapy, there is no right or wrong way of making art. Putting scrap materials together to create an object is a form of creative expression. Kneading, cutting or shaping a lump of clay is also a creative way of expressing thoughts, experiences and memories. It is during the process of art making that therapeutic phenomenon negotiates its way into understanding self and the world we live in.


During art therapy, the therapist allows the client to feel safe about making art without being dictated or judged.
